The player controls a small alien who must keep jumping across shrinking platforms while dodging falling asteroids. The goal is simple: survive as long as possible in the chaos.
The Concept
The idea was to design a game that feels tense and urgent. Platforms disappear quickly, asteroids crash from above, and timing is everything. I wanted players to feel that “panic fun” of barely making it to the next jump.
Development & Playtesting
I built the game inside Unity Playground, focusing first on the core mechanics: jump, dodge, survive.
During playtests, I noticed a few common challenges:
Players felt the ground was “slippery,” making it hard to stay on platforms.
The alien’s horizontal speed was too fast, which caused players to slide off.
Some testers forgot about the asteroids because they were so focused on not falling.
Others felt the buttons weren’t very responsive and wanted more variety in the level.
Even with the frustrations, people found the concept fun and interesting — just a bit too hard at first.
