The animation simulates a futuristic interface.
This project explores how motion design and storytelling can bring futuristic interfaces to life using Adobe After Effects. I combined a personal video, filmed with my phone, with advanced VFX techniques to simulate a believable and seamless user interaction in a near-future world.
Holographic Interface
The concept imagines a scenario where I use a smartwatch to access a digital menu, select a coffee, and confirm the order through a holographic projection hovering in the air. To bring this to life, I used motion tracking to anchor the interface in 3D space, UI animation to simulate interactive elements, and glow and depth effects to enhance realism and immersion.
VFX & UI Simulation in After Effects
This exercise challenged me to think about gesture-based UX, spatial layout, and how technology can feel magical but still intuitive. It was also a chance to push my skills in compositing, masking, keyframing, and blending real-world footage with digital design.
All within After Effects software.
Let’s keep in touch.
