This 3D design blends two iconic retro objects, a classic 1950s radio and a gumball machine into one imaginative concept. Inspired by vintage aesthetics, I used the Draw Custom Shapes tool to create detailed elements like speaker grills, knobs, and buttons that reflect the era’s style.

Creative Fusion

Instead of designing them separately, I merged both ideas into a single object: the radio forms the base, while the transparent top holds colourful gumballs. This fusion not only makes the piece stand out but also plays with visual nostalgia in a fun and unexpected way.

Details & Materials

Throughout the build, I paid close attention to the textures and materials, balancing plastic, metal, and gloss finishes to match the real-life feel of both devices. The result is a model that feels tactile, retro, and slightly surreal.
